Get Involved

Street children and teenagers incur huge misfortune associated with their situation, from essentail mobility to lack of fundamental basics. They are deprived of family care and protection. Most children on the streets are between the ages of about 5 and 17 years old. Street children live in abandoned buildings, cardboard boxes, parks or on the street itself. A great deal has been written defining street children, but the primary difficulty is that there are no precise categories, but rather a continuum, ranging from children who spend some time on the streets and sleep in a house with ill-prepared adults, to those who live entirely on the streets and have no adult supervision or care.

These are challenging times for homeless kids and the H.O.P.E Foundation Walk-a-thon is an important fundraiser for this cause. We take a proactive approach through public awareness and education to prevent more cases of homeless children and youth.

Volunteering

The Walk-a-thon relies on the spirit, talents and efforts of over 300 volunteers every year, and we are always looking for new recruits!
